Mary Mueni recently lost her grandmother who had been caring for her since the death of her mother in 2013. With no other relatives to rely upon, Mary Mueni had been attempting to survive on her own. Her situation was discovered by a caring neighbor who shared her story with authorities. It was discovered that Mary had an older brother already living at the Mukaa Children’s Home, and now Mary has joined him there. The transition has not been easy for this young teen, but she is assured of receiving the support, counseling and loving care to help bring healing and hope for a brighter future.
