Jael Letishia and her older sister Abigail have suffered physical and emotional abuse from their mother for an extensive period of time. Their mother is an alcoholic and neglected the girls' care as well as threatened their lives. After physically forcing the girls to leave the home, they were rescued by neighbors who informed authorities of the situation, As a result, the mother is now in jail and the girls are living in the safety of the Mukaa Children's Home. Their healing from these traumatic circumstances has begun with the holistic care the home provides and the loving security of this place of refuge and safety.

 

Jael is bright and engaging but has a skin condition that can now being treated.
