My father and mother both died when I was still a baby. My older sisters tried to care for me but I became malnourished and weak. After going to the hospital several times, the authorities decided to take me to the Kitui Baby Home where I lived until I turned 6 years old. I am now healthy and strong and have moved to the Mukaa Children’s Home where I will begin school, make new friends, and continue to know that I will be loved and protected.
