After the death of his mother in 2021 due to a road accident, Denis and his younger sister went to live with his uncle and aunt. This family found it difficult to provide for their care as they have a large family of their own. The uncle does not have a steady job and also suffers from alcoholism. Denis and his sister were accepted into the Mukaa Children’s Home in July 2022. Denis will now be able to attend school (Grade 4) regularly and find security and a loving family with the Mukaa staff and children.
